PRICING:
Alma Hybrid treatment pricing varies depending on the treatment intensity, area treated, and individual skin concerns. Following a consultation, a personalised treatment plan will be created and exact pricing discussed prior to proceeding.

The Alma Hybrid Laser uniquely combines ablative fractional CO₂ laser technology with a non-ablative Erbium 1570 nm laser into one platform that can be fully customised to each patient’s individual skin and treatment goals.

This hybrid approach allows for precise treatment of both superficial skin texture and deeper dermal structures in a single session, supporting improvements in skin quality, tone, scarring, pigmentation and overall firmness with controlled downtime.

Alma Hybrid treatments with Dr Brandon are delivered within a medical, anatomy-driven and safety-first framework, with all parameters tailored to individual skin type, concern severity and recovery tolerance.

Benefits of the Alma Hybrid Laser

Alma Hybrid laser can treat and improve:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Skin laxity and crepiness
  • Uneven skin texture and enlarged pores
  • Sun damage and photoageing
  • Pigmentation irregularities
  • Acne scarring
  • Surgical and traumatic scars
  • Stretch marks (striae)
  • General skin resurfacing and rejuvenation

Because the platform is highly adjustable, treatment intensity can be selected based on desired outcome and acceptable downtime.

Consultation & Assessment Process

Every Alma Hybrid treatment begins with a comprehensive medical and skin assessment. During consultation, Dr Brandon evaluates:

  • Skin type and thickness
  • Degree of photo-ageing and texture change
  • Scar type, depth and distribution (if applicable)
  • Pigmentation pattern and melanin risk
  • Inflammatory skin conditions
  • Medical history, medications and healing capacity
  • Sun exposure history and lifestyle factors
  • Recovery expectations and tolerance for downtime

This allows for an individualised treatment plan with appropriate laser settings, depth, density and modality selection. Not all patients are suitable for laser resurfacing, and in some cases alternative or staged approaches may be recommended.

Downtime & Recovery

Downtime varies depending on treatment intensity:

  • Light resurfacing – redness for 24–72 hours, minimal peeling, rapid social recovery
  • Moderate resurfacing – 3–5 days of redness, swelling and flaking
  • Deep resurfacing – 5–10 days of healing, with possible crusting, peeling and
    erythema

Post-treatment care is critical and may include:

  • Strict sun avoidance
  • Barrier-repair skincare
  • Avoidance of active products until healed
  • Regular clinical review as required

Collagen remodelling continues for weeks to months following treatment.

Results & Treatment Progression

Improvements commonly seen following Alma Hybrid Laser may include:

  • Smoother skin texture
  • Improved pigmentation uniformity
  • Reduction in acne scarring depth
  • Softening of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improved skin firmness and elasticity
  • Enhanced overall skin quality

Some indications respond well after a single treatment, while others may require a course of treatments depending on depth and severity. This is discussed individually during consultation.

What Makes the Alma Hybrid Laser Different

Unlike traditional laser devices that rely on a single wavelength, the Alma Hybrid integrates:

  • Ablative fractional CO₂ laser – creates controlled microscopic treatment zones to stimulate strong collagen remodelling and resurfacing
  • Non-ablative 1570 nm laser – delivers thermal energy into the deeper dermis without damaging the surface

This allows treatments to be performed in ablative mode, non-ablative mode or true hybrid mode, depending on clinical indication. Depth, density and energy delivery can all be precisely adjusted, making Alma Hybrid suitable for everything from light skin refreshing to deeper scar and texture correction.

What to Expect During Treatment

Prior to treatment, topical anaesthetic or local numbing may be used where appropriate. The laser is then applied in a controlled, fractional pattern across the targeted areas.

The dual-laser approach allows:

  • Superficial epidermal resurfacing for texture and pigment
  • Deep dermal heating for collagen remodelling and tightening in the same session

Treatment duration varies depending on the area treated and the depth of resurfacing required. Most patients are in and out within one hour.

Safety & Suitability

Alma Hybrid laser resurfacing is a medical procedure and carries risks, including but not limited to:

  • Prolonged redness
  • Pigmentary changes
  • Infection
  • Scarring (rare)
  • Delayed healing
  • Reactivation of herpes simplex in susceptible individuals

Patients with the following require special consideration and may not be suitable:

  • Active skin infections
  • Certain pigmentary disorders
  • Recent isotretinoin use
  • History of abnormal scarring
  • Poor wound healing disorders

Alma Hybrid treatments with Dr Brandon are delivered within a doctor-led, anatomy-driven and conservative framework, prioritising:

  • Skin health over trends
  • Biological response over surface change
  • Long-term skin integrity over short-term cosmetic effect
  • Individualised treatment planning over protocols
