A detailed, gender-affirming assessment of facial features to explore subtle, non-surgical refinements that align appearance with personal expression.

Facial features play an important role in how gender expression and identity may be perceived. Facial feminisation and facial masculinisation consultations focus on assessing individual anatomy to explore non-surgical ways of enhancing, softening or strengthening certain facial characteristics in alignment with a person’s goals, preferences and natural features.
Facial feminisation consultations generally consider areas such as the forehead, temples, cheeks, lips, jawline and chin. Softer contours, increased curvature and gentle volume distribution are often associated with more traditionally feminine features. Ageing, genetics and natural anatomy can all influence how these characteristics present over time.
Facial masculinisation consultations, by contrast, typically focus on enhancing structure, strength and angularity. This may include assessment of the jawline, chin, cheekbones and lower face width, which are commonly associated with more traditionally masculine characteristics. Bone structure, existing muscle mass and soft tissue distribution are carefully assessed as part of this process.
These consultations are not limited to any single gender or identity. Individuals of all gender identities may seek either feminisation or masculinisation to align their external appearance more closely with their self-expression, or to restore structural definition lost through ageing.
A detailed, respectful and anatomy-focused assessment is essential. During the consultation, Dr Brandon evaluates proportion, symmetry and balance across the upper, mid and lower face. Consideration is given to facial ratios, profile, and the relationship between key structures such as the chin, jaw, cheeks, lips and forehead.
Facial feminisation and masculinisation consultations in Sydney with Dr Brandon centre on education, suitability and realistic expectations. Any proposed approach is conservative, personalised and designed to prioritise natural balance and long-term facial harmony.
