Rejuran is a skin-supporting treatment derived from polynucleotides (PN), which are extracted from salmon DNA and recognised for their biocompatibility with human skin. Although it is often referred to in popular media as the “salmon sperm facial”, this is an incorrect and misleading term. In medical aesthetics, Rejuran is valued for its potential to support skin regeneration, improve barrier function and enhance overall skin quality at a cellular level.

Polynucleotides help support the skin’s natural repair processes by encouraging fibroblast activity, improving hydration, and contributing to healthier collagen and elastin production. This makes Rejuran consultations particularly relevant for concerns relating to skin texture, fine lines, elasticity, scarring and overall skin resilience.

There are several formulations, each assessed for different anatomical areas and skin concerns:

  • Rejuran Classic – typically assessed for overall skin texture, hydration and regenerative support
  • Rejuran Eye – designed for the delicate peri-orbital area, where skin is thinner and more prone to fine lines
  • Rejuran Scar – assessed in areas affected by scarring or textural irregularity

Areas commonly evaluated during the consultation include the face, under-eye region, neck, décolletage and areas of scarring. Consideration is given to skin thickness, sensitivity, degree of damage and individual skin goals.

A personalised Rejuran consultation with Dr Brandon focuses on understanding the underlying cause of skin changes, current skin health, lifestyle influences and realistic outcomes. Not all individuals are suitable candidates, and in some cases alternative skin-supporting strategies may be recommended instead.

These consultations are suitable for individuals seeking to improve overall skin quality, repair, resilience and long-term dermal health in a conservative, evidence-based manner.
